Which Spanish speaking country should one go to to study Spanish and to work part-time in?
There’s no better place to study spanish than in a Spanish speaking country. Now I know the best places to go are either in Europe (Spain) or South America. But what I’m also concerned with is getting a part-time job since I’ll be living on my own. Any suggestions on what the perfect Spanish speaking country is for me? Btw I am a male, 24 year old college grad from the Philippines (in case that information helps).

Where can I buy a Spanish language newspaper in England?
Also, what are the names of the newspapers. It does not matter if they are from Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina or any other Spanish speaking country, as long as it’s a Spanish language newspaper.
Hi.. It depends where you live as to the availabillity of spanish language newspapers..
They will be pratically impossible to find in the countryside or a small village..but you should be able to get hold of a copy without too much problem..in any medium sized town and upwards..
The main WH Smith in any town should stock a few copies.. And also the WH Smith in the larger stations such as the London stations and Manchester Picadilly or Birmingham New Street etc.. all sell Spanish newspapers.
In some of the larger cities there are other newsagents..that also stock Spanish newspapers ..and sell other international papers.. For example around Soho, and Tottenham Court Rd.. in London..There are many news agents that sell spanish newspapers.
The Spanish language newspapers that you can buy in England are from Spain. You are very very very unlikely to find one from South or Central America.
The most common papers that I see sold are ABC, EL MONDO, and EL PAIS
This website is a global distrubtor of newspapers..You can use this search on the website..To find some of the places that hold a copy of the title..you want, near to you.. And also the UK distributors
http://www.newspaperdirect.com/newspapers/inprint.aspx
2)As for subscriptions.. I checked the WH Smith website and it does NOT do newspaper subscriptions..though you can subscribe to a magazine..but I couldn’t find any Spanish magazines offered…But I do know for a fact that it does sell Spanish gossip magazines such as Hola.
http://www.whsmith.co.uk/whs/go.asp?menu=Welcome&pagedef=/welcome/home/index.htm
But you can subscribe directly some newspapers themselves.
For example ABC offers 3 months subscription fpr 292 euros if you are in the UK
https://paginasegura.abc.es/papel/paso1extranjero.asp
This is website of the main UK distributor for foreign newspapers.. I think they do not do individual subscriptions..but you can ask them well the nearest place to you that stocks the paper you want
http://www.jones-yarrell.co.uk/
3)Also if you are happy just to read your paper..you can read most papers on online.. Or if you visit your local library.. you can request that they order the paper for you..for free..and you can read it there.
What books should i get to start a Spanish course?
Are you doing a spanish course? what boks did your tutor recommend?
I would use www.languageguide.com until I have vocabulary, some grammar structure and more listening skills.
It’s also free.
It’s useful to have a good dictionary such as Webster’s New Explorer Spanish / English Dictionary. I use to buy used ones for my students in Ebay or Amazon, they are around 7 dollars and all of them come in perfect conditions ( I buy the hardcover type)
There is also a book called 501 Verbs in Spanish that is useful, but you need to know some of the language before stressing out about conjugations. ¡ Buena suerte !
Which language school in Italy is the best for exchange students?
hi everyone! I’m from Vietnam and i love Italian. I’m 15 years old now and i really want to have a summer course in Italy in 2009. And i love to learn in Rome or Florence. Please give me some advices about language school and how to apply.
to be honest, there is no such thing as best school in my opinion. IF you go to italy then you will learn italien. You have to learn or you dont eat. I say this from experience. Your stomach will teach you loads of language just by physically being there. Find a school you like, choose for atmosphere, location and price. Rome is wonderful but it is a big city. Florence is very nice but small. What would you prefere? A big city or small small town? Both have tons of art, culture, history, and magical atmosphere. ive been to both and i love em both. Have a wonderful time. Just be cautious, Italien men are the closest thing to the sterotypical "dog" you will find. I litterally have seen them howl at ladies… but then that was only in rome at the spanish steps.
