What is an easy way to study Spanish?

I am in Spanish 2, and I have a really hard time learning it, because my teacher teaches it a different way. I am more of a Do it learner, than a watch some one explain it. I like learning through Games and such, and expeirences. How can I learn spanish with this?
Well you see….I can’t buy anything, and I don’t know anyone who can speak it fluently.

Best thing to do would be to find someone who can speak it fluently and have him/her talk with you. It doesn’t matter what you talk about as long as he/she isn’t using complex sentences. I speak spanish sometimes to my gf and she’s understanding it the more I keep talking to her in spanish. Plus I think that’s the most realistic way of learning a new language. That’s how I learned to speak English. Good Luck

What are some colleges/universities with really great Spanish language and education programs?

Preferably on the East Coast, in NY, Massachusetts, PA, and Vermont. I know Middlebury is a great school, but are there any others? Also, if you know anything about any good study abroad programs at these schools, let me know. I heard Salamanca is a great city to study in.

I’m in virtually the same boat that you are. Even though it’s not on the east coast, the University of Kansas has an outstanding spanish department, and plenty of oppurtunities for study abroad, most notably the exchange to Edinburgh, Scotland (though that doesn’t really apply to your question…). In any case, it’s a great school in a great city (Lawrence, KS), and I would go there myself for the same subject were it not for the fact that I grew up there!

How can i fix the spell check and grammar check for microsoft word 2007 for the spanish language?

when i use the spanish language for Microsoft Word 2007, I pretty much can type in anything and it states that there is no spelling or grammar errors. I didn’t have this problem with my 2003 version. its really annoying and if anyone knows anything on how to fix this problem, please let me know. since i need for my spanish courses for writing papers and such.

Use this to set up spell and grammar checking in spanish. Note that the Spanish proofing tools must also be installed from the Office CD.

1.Press CTRL/A to select the entire document.
2.Click the Review tab on the Ribbon.
3.In the Proofing section, click Set Language.
4.Select the language you want in the list box.
5.To make this the default language for future documents, click the Default button.
6.Click Yes in the message box.
7.Click OK.

That should do it.

where can i find a spanish grammar and spell check online?

i am not that good in spanish and i’m suppose to turn in this project monday. i want to make sure the "acentos" are there and spelling is right. oh and if u know how to convert Microsoft Word’s dictionary from english to spanish so i can use that instead of the online spell check can u tell me how please!! thanks!!

Go to Yahoo Espana. Write whatever you want and there is a spell check in Spanish. If you want grammar, just write "Gramatica Espanola" and Yahoo will show many sources. Surf them and you’ll find grammar, dictionaries and other tools that will help you.

From today (Saturday night to Sunday) is too short a notice if you have to turn in your work on Monday. Otherwise I would have been more than pleased to write down the rules for accentuating in Spanish, with examples. I can asure you that I would be able to teach you all of them in a very simple way and that you’ll never fail in accentuating correctly. But . . . its late –five minutes to 1:00 a.m. into Sunday 01-06-08. You have to turn in your work tomorrow. Not enough time. Good luck. Adian.

Where can I find a helpful, free, online Spanish (Latin American) Course?

My family has just moved to Panama where they speak Latin American spanish. I’m trying to find a free, online course that teaches this, but all I can seem to find is straight spanish courses. I have Rosetta Stone and it’s ok, it’s just not as helpful for me as what I’m needing. Does anyone know of any free, online Latin American Spanish courses that I can take?

Maybe this one can help you, it also have phonetics and sound for every word you can chose.
You have several languages translations (as babelfish but more accurate).

Hope it helps! Cheers!

Where can I take free spanish classes in Brooklyn, NY?

Where can I take free spanish classes in Brooklyn, NY?

Go back to middle/high school. Or get a spanish friend to teach you. Or if you are willing to spend some cash buy a Rosetta Stone thing or just take them off the Internet but good luck learning to pronounce things if you take them off the internet.

What household foods have some spanish writing on the wrapper?

In spanish class, we get extra credit if we have some spanish writing on an object from a spanish speeking country. I’ve brought in a bag of tortillas but thats just about it. Please help me! My class is tomorow and i’m in need of some extra credit! Thank you!

Salsa, chiles, mole, tostadas, frijoles refritos, tamal leaves (dried cornhusks) tamal masa, maseca (which is corn meal to make tortillas), spices like tomillo, comino, oregano, canela. A nice thing about Mexican food is we don’t depend on ready made stuff, we make our own if we want to.

Mexico would be your closest reference but you could also look for some Spanish (obviously from Spain) products like azafrán which are the yellow stems used to make paella, a rice dish and the rice is usually a saphron yellow.

What is the best way to learn Spanish with your kids?

I want to learn spanish and I thought it would be a great idea to teach my kids too
any tips?

the best way to learn is from exposure to someone who speaks it to them constantly. barring that, my kids and i are using Rosetta Stone together to pick up some German for an upcoming trip, and we’re all having a blast with it.
