Does anyone know of this language school?
Does anyone know of a language school called Brighton international summer School Ltd, (BISS)
at Dorothy Stringer School, in BRIGHTON? I want to subscribe for the summer lessons for my daughter. Thank you.
Established in 1984, Brighton International Summer School (BISS) specialises in English language and activity courses for young pupils aged 5 to 18. We offer the chance to study English and learn about British culture in a safe, caring environment, at our small friendly family run school that places a high emphasis on personal service. Lessons take place at DOROTHY STRINGER HIGH SCHOOL,a local British school with over 1,000 British students aged 11-16, with whom there are lots of opportunities to integrate for sport, arts and other cultural activities.
DOROTHY STRINGER HIGH SCHOOL values its partnership with BISS, and welcomes international students into their community believing such visits are of cultural and educational benefit to its own British students, as well as to their overseas guests. The school is large with fantastic modern facilities, and is located in a good residential area of Brighton, from where we also select our host families, and within easy reach of the city centre shops and beach. BRIGHTON itself is a vibrant, exciting seaside resort, hugely popular with overseas students, under one hour by train to LONDON and close to London Gatwick Airport.
BISS teachers are qualified and experienced at teaching English to school age students and children, and understand the challenges faced by young people staying in a foreign country away from their parents for the first time… and understand the concerns and worries of the parents as well!

City of music and sports
Manchester’s glittering music history has seen the likes of groups such as The Smiths, The Hollies and New Order, to name but a few. This hub of entertainment also boasts an abundance of theaters, galleries, and for sports fans plenty of Manchester United FC and Manchester City football games. Hit the Northern Quarter, a best-kept secret favored by the University crowd, teeming with shops, galleries and cafes. The Peak District and Pennine Hills are invitingly close by, so take to the hills for walking, climbing and biking, just a half-hour drive away.
Exciting British student city
With EF in Manchester you will enjoy the best of both worlds — the young, hip feeling of a friendly student city and the excitment of a large, bustling cultural center. Small class sizes will make your learning experience more personalized and fun. A wide range of both on-line and classroom led special interest classes will help you to learn English while broadening your horizons.

Does taking a language in middle school count as a high school language credit?
In middle school, I took three years of spanish. In 6th grade, we went to the class twice a week, and in 7th and 8th grade, we went to the class 4 times a week. In high school I took Spanish II as a freshman, and Spanish III as a sophomore. I want 3 language credits, and I am hoping to not have to take Spanish in my junior year. I am wondering if the spanish I took in middle school will count as a language credit. I hope you can answer my question, thanks.
it depends on your school. i took two french classes in middle school and only had to take french 3 my freshman year. ask your school counselor. they should definitely be able to let you know.

For Foreigners, especiallKoreans: What can say you about the services of the Ateneo de Manila Language School?
I have friends who wish to study in this language school in the Philippines, and we need to know if the students really improve their English speaking ability and comprehension from this school -if the place is worth one’s money. My friend’s are Koreans. But other Foreigners can also answer this question. Thank you very much in advance.
Hi, i’m from the Ateneo de Manila University… I’m not a foreigner (since I’m a Filipino) but I can definitely say that Ateneo is one of the best language schools you can get into in the Philippines… I’ve heard some of the foreigners who go here speak English, and they seem to be doing pretty well, if you don’t mind the strong accent.. And I know I won’t be your best source but I know that there has been a sudden increase in the number of foreigners, especially Koreans, who want to learn English here… And this has resulted to an increase in the number of schools, businesses, and organizations, who provide teaching services…
Good luck!

Bairingaru English Language School Ikebukuro – バイリンガル英会話池袋校
On a busy Saturday sometime in 1992, I walk around the school interviewing teachers, staff and students. とってもなつかしい!!
People I can remember (help me complete the list!): Alex, Chris, Rick B, Scott A, Andy B, nameless staff…
Note: the videotape color was so faded I decided to just use black & white.
