How good is it to receive a Spanish language diploma?
I will be receiving a spanish language diploma soon and it is at the (Superior/Proficiency)level. How good/useful will this be for health care.
health care or any job. Im planning on working in California.
It is a diploma that certifies your level of Spanish. There are 3 levels : beginner, intermediate, superior.
I have NO idea what you are talking about…but pretty much anywhere in the US, if you can speak fluent Spanish, and communicate with a person who is semi coherent, and babbling in Spanish, to find out where it hurts, etc., you’re pretty much golden!
I think in Colorado (at least in my part) they have to have at least one person in an ambulance/emergency room who can communicate well in spanish.
They have been teaching everyone in the health industry around here.

Having more than one language makes you very lucky. Many people that have only one language wish to have more. Well Spanish is the second or third language that is most spoken around the world. To survive in other countries you need English, Spanish and/or French. Que tan bien hablas el espanol? Suerte.
